The Experience project is all about ensuring that the Safari experience can compete with Theme-parks in the UK. Research tells us that 18-25 year olds are very keen on Theme parks but not so keen on Safari parks and Zoos. This is because of a significant amount of bad press.
We as a project team need to make the Safari Park interesting enough for the new generation so that it continues to be funding and continues its work. Any marketing needs to focus on:
- The fact it’s a fun and Xtreme day out
- The fact that we focus on conservation work so they don’t have to worry about the welfare of the animals as they are well looked after
- Getting up close and personal through the re-enforced glass means that visitors can wow their friends with their wildlife photography!
- In addition, they can go to the shop and upload their pictures to a t-shirt or mug to buy later!
